Light, safety, dignity

What we do

Some nights feel longer than others. The Candlelight Foundation shows up with practical kindness: hot meals, clean blankets, basic supplies, help with paperwork and referrals to safe services. We support families after fires and floods, walk with survivors through trusted partners, and keep the most vulnerable—children, elders, migrants—front of mind.

Work is ward-based and neighbour-led. We plan with community leaders, clinics and faith groups; verify lists; and track deliveries simply. Safeguarding is non-negotiable, data is POPIA-aware, and cash handling is audited. We start pilot-ready in one area, then phase across districts with clear updates and learning loops that improve practice.

Why choose us

Compassion, then action

We keep promises small and visible: names on lists, dates on drops, check-ins after. Respect first, tidy paperwork, and calm people who answer phones. Help should feel human, even when days are hard.
